HOLIDAY TRIP TO DELHI, AGRA & KASHMIR

We planned our year end holiday to India few months back, flew to Delhi on 10/11/12 @8.20 am.

Alhamdullillah safely reached Indira Gandhi International Airport  at 12 noon with normal temperature just like in Malaysia 25c.  Met by our tour guide n board the bus, had lunch at local restaurant named Lazee Attire.  Then went for Delhi sight seeing and shopping  till evening. Checked in at The Country Inn & Suite Hotel, lovely hotel & very spacious.

 Next morning left Delhi for Srinagar by a domestic flight called Jet Airways for 2 hrs journey.

Reached Srinagar and sat on small boat towards our houseboat resort called Best View Resort.

As expected earlier temperature at 17c at noon, very cloudy atmosphere. Had lunch at houseboat, solat then start our tour again to Mungal Garden and Shamilar Garden till evening. Night time very cold -4c. On the way back stopped at the carpet centre, beautiful carpet with beautiful prices of course not my taste!!.

Our 3^rd day began with a bus journey to Gulmarg one of the famous resort in Kashmir amongst the Bollywood artists for shooting location during winter season.  Unfortunely we missed the Gondola ride  because it was under maintenance on the day we reached there, the other choice was to have a horse ride cost Rp200 perhr.

After 2 days in Kashmir, left for Delhi by domestic flight again for Agra.  Visited the famous Taj Mahal build by king Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal.  It was completed after 22 years with 20,000 workers round the clock. The Taj Mahal was proclaimed as one of the heritage of the world by UNESCO. Then tour to the Agra Fort which placed the Shah Jahan palace.

We left Agra after one night stay for Delhi by bus 6 hrs journey passing through the new highway called Yamuna Expressway.  Checkin at the same hotel the Country Inn & Suite Hotel.

For the past 2 days in Delhi, visited the Jama Mosque, Indian Gate, Parliament House and the President House.  Spent few hours and rest of the days for shopping.

Left Delhi for home at 11 pm and alhamdullillah safely reached KLIA at 7.15 am.
